Kalanidhi Devkota has been working for MuAN as Executive Director since November 2008. He holds a Master Degree in Urban Management and Governance from IHS, the Netherlands. His areas of expertise include local governance, poverty reduction, urban resource mobilization, public policy and management.
Madhusudan Rijal
Madhusudan Rijal has been working for MuAN as Member Service Officer. He has been working since March 2001. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from Tribhuvan University. He has also completed a 1 year diploma course on community development and more than 10 years of relevant working experience. His areas of expertise are local governance, community development, information, networking and administration.
Pramod Nyachhyon
Mr Pramod Nyachhyon has been honing his skills in Information Management, Programming Languages and Computer Hardware, and Networking for almost a decade. His in-depth knowledge of new technologies has aided ICT capacity building across the development, women’s rights, and governance sectors in Nepal.
Pramod holds a Master Degree in Computer Application from Acharya Institute of Technology in Bangalore, India. As an Information and Networking Coordinator at MuAN, he strives to use his skills in information management to enable environmentally-friendly governance, and child-friendly governance at the local level. It is his hope that Nepal’s Municipalities will develop into smart cities through the adoption of innovative technologies in years to come.
Pramod is a travel and adventure-junkie, he recently did a bungee swing and trekked in the Annapurna Region. When he isn’t seeking out adrenaline-boosting ventures, he enjoys cooking, seeing live music, watching movies and spending time with his family.
Muskan Shrestha
For over 12+ years Mr. Shrestha has been working in areas of urban and Rural Environment, community development, Local Governance System and Project Management. Academically he is a graduate in Environmental Engineering from Kathmandu University and also holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development from Tribhuwan University.
He believes in learning through sharing and has experiences of sharing his professional knowledge and ideas in various international platforms in S. Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, India and Bangladesh

Umashankar Yadav have holds Master’s degree in Sociology from Tribhuwan University. He has +18 Years work experience in development and I/NGOs sector experiences in multicultural environment both at the National, Province and field le level in humanitarian and development related Program with strong skills on project planning, designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, Coordination collaboration and leadership and oversaw a wide portfolio of projects in the areas of Community Development, WASH, Governance, DRR, Health, Nutrition.
Kumar Khadka
Mr. Kumar Khadka has been serving as the Technical Advisor at MuAN providing overall technical expertise on project execution/implementation, ensure effective and compliant implementation of project activities and help ensure that the project results are delivered on time and to a high standard in line with DRR, humanitarian and emergency standards, and GESI principles, and provide expert advice and consultative support to the project team, and where required provide mentoring and technical backstopping. Mr. Khadka is a seasoned development professional, researcher, and consultant with nearly two decades of experience in local governance, GESI, DRRM, humanitarian affairs and emergencies, human rights, conflict and peace, private sector partnerships, designing and managing programs and projects, grantmaking, training, and capacity development, community development and social mobilization, etc. Currently, he is also a Ph.D. Candidate at Kennesaw State University’s International Conflict Management Program, USA. Mr. Khadka has served/worked on a number of high-level committees, task forces, and forums. He has held various senior roles/positions with various national and international organizations, including the United Nations. He has also worked as a consultant for a number of organizations both in Nepal and abroad, including the State University of New York’s Center for International Development and Thailand’s International Institute of Peace and Development Studies. Mr. Khadka has also published several articles and conducted research on the peace process, as well as contemporary political and development issues. He also has extensive exposure to related conferences, training, and workshops, and he has presented at a number of national and international workshops and seminars.
Lalit Mani Acharya
Lalit Mani Acharya has been working for MuAN as Accountant since December 1998. He has completed his Intermediate in Commerce from Tribhuvan University. His areas of interest and expertise include finance and accounting and issues related to local governance.
Roshani Shrestha
Roshani Shrestha has been working for MuAN as Information Associate since March 2011. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Tribhuvan University. Her areas of expertise include information management, networking and administration.
